Minimum wage rates in Ireland for 2023 and the new living wage

From January 2023, minimum wage workers will see an increase in their pay packets of 80c per hour. This is the first step in a four-year plan for a National Living Wage to replace the National Minimum Wage.

The new minimum wage rates, effective from 1^st January 2023, are as follows:

Aged 20 and above                                €11.30
Aged 19                                                  €10.17
Aged 18                                                  €9.04
Aged under 18                                        €7.91
